Talk about an incidence of coincidence Zeb and Kate Smith started my Instagram with the Continental Convergence exhibition of Golden Age, hand-painted movie posters from Ghana, all martial arts themed, that I had in Chinatown back in 2014 and completely unbeknownst to either of them, Zeb photoed our old family friends, the Nelson’s, gazing and commenting on the notice that he and Kate had just put up to in nearby Silverlake - it just so also happens that the Nel...sons’ daughter, Linda, lives in Silverlake - Anyway, I say old family friends because not only did we share seats at Pauley Pavilion for decades of UCLA Basketball, but Don Nelson also spoke directly after me at my father’s funeral service at our church back in 2012.....The Nelson’s and my parents have been great friends since their college days in the late 40s at UCLA. Very sadly, Don Nelson passed away last year. Roz, his lifetime bride, photoed with Don in this in-situ shot, is very well, indeed!- I recently had lunch with her .... and there is oh so much more of this inner twinklings of my family’s and the Nelsons’ roots! ....Austin and Adelade, and Rotary, etc.....
