Fifteen years ago, together with my wife, we bought a house in the Footbridge Square area of Studio City. It was a boarded-up property, for sale by owner. At the time, my son with Down syndrome was 3 years old, and we wanted to find a place for him to be part of a community, with a great school. The school district is Carpenter Community Charter, and together with our other two children, we spent the best part of their childhood at Carpenter. We found these photos recently of... what the house looked like when we bought it, compared to what it is today. I always believe that you should buy the worst property in the best neighborhood, and that was the house we live in now...
