Things to smile about. One of Elly's favorite hummingbirds is a fellow she calls the "Purple Prince" He is always one of the first to come, even when hand feeding. But wait, is it the one approaching the feeder, or the one already at the feeder? Maybe they are both "Purple Princes"? Actually, they are all her favorites!

Today's Airshow. After a 2 year hunt to try to catch the Barn Owl, finally got lucky. I have seen them many times, but they drop down and fly among the trees. Even tougher than the Great Horned Owl, because they don't sit in the open, but rather high up and deep in the tree near the trunk. Will try again, but for now, I was pleasantly surprised.

Hey, did that grape jelly shipment I ordered come in yet? I have a bit of a sweet tooth!

I really hope this amazing broom hasn't been standing here since Monday! Clearly, with no arms, she can't knock or use a cell phone. But don't worry, she has since been brought inside and is being well taken care of. Do you have any similar "Broom Horror Stories".
