Our state now boasts 209 schools offering 250 IB Programmes placing us within the top five areas in the world for IB. ... The EPIC community is very proud of the hard work and dedication from teachers, staff, parents and partners who have contributed to our successful journey to MYP Authorization. As many of you might know that, Sacramento County and Yolo County moved from the most restrictive, purple risk tier into the red. This is the first step on the path to reopening our school. Once Sacramento County and Yolo County have been in the red tier for 21 consecutive days, we will be eligible to reopen schools as local public health officials approve school plans. Parents, please check your emails for important information from school principal, Dr. Jerry Kosch, regarding school opening.

You have to select which alerts you want to receive. You can also get a ‘test alert’ to double check your phone and email are correct. To see how the County has created zones and for people to know which zone they are in. http://evacuate.yolocounty.org/. You can put in any address in Yolo County and it will tell you which route you need to take to evacuate. We will notify people through Yolo-Alert based on the zone they are in. So, not everyone will get an alert if their zone is not close to the wildfire or does not need to evacuate. We send advisory alerts evacuation alerts first before we send mandatory evacuation alerts. We are excited to welcome back to school our students for the 2020-2021 school year!!!! School starts on Monday, August 10th. We are opening this year in a distance learning model. We wish we could see you and hug you but.... we miss you all. Our teachers are excited and ready to make this school year unforgettable and cherished.

What a special year!!! So much to remember. Today was our last day of school. I would like to say Thank you to our amazing staff for being creative and flexible during this uncertain time and provide great learning support for our students. I would like to say Thank you to our students and parents for being patient and for completing all assignments. We do not know what the next school year will look like but we hope for better and we hope to see all you beautiful faces and we hope we could shake your hand first day of school. I can not believe this our last week of school. Time has flow by so fast.
