It takes a village to create a vineyard and residential driveway! This project team, which consists of the owner, contractor, civil engineer, vineyard managers, vineyard consultant and more, are happy to have their project under construction.

MCE & our winning horse! A few weeks ago the MCE staff spent an afternoon at the Sonoma County Fair as part of our annual summer gathering. We ate, drank and can't wait for next year!

It’s not every day we get a letter from the senator! Thanks Senator Mike McGuire for the acknowledgement and putting a smile on our faces.

Updated info on the MCE adopted families who have been affected by the Camp Fire. READ ON! We’ve gotten a number of new monetary donations from our Facebook posts and a pretty good load of tools just through word of mouth!! Thank you to everyone and anyone who has donated or even told a friend about our efforts. ... The Miller Family is in need of tools. (Read previous post for the Miller family story.) We are hoping even more tools will come in from our contractor connections. Used tools or new, big or small tools he needs them all. Tools can be dropped off at the Munselle Civil Healdsburg Office: 513 Center St between 8am-5pm. ****The King’s, our other family, just got a 5th wheel set up to live in and are feeling really good to have a more permanent place to call home. They have put together an Amazon Wish List to help get their new home set up as well: https://www.amazon.com//ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_awwl_s_3F8lCbMV9 Check it out and share it on your social media connections. Let’s see what we can do to fill it! Thank you again for all your generosity!

Munselle Civil is honored to share a bit about the Miller family, our other Paradise adopted family. The Miller family of four lost their home and cars in the Camp fire. Dad is a contractor who lost his shop and all the tools he had collected for years of work in the construction business. His fiancé is an LVN and is going to school for her RN. She has 4 months left until she graduates! They have two girls Layla, 4 and Jazzalyn, 3. They are going through the process of... adopting the girls since they have had them since they were babies. The family was under insured and the replacement of the home is not covered. They are staying in a trailer that needs fixing to be livable and the dad is busy helping others fix trailers to live in even when his own isn’t up to par yet. Thank you for your support in helping them rebuild their lives. We received a text message recently from the family: Thank you so much for sending the package and bringing tools, I sincerely hope this is not putting you out too extensively! Your help is a lovely blessing to us and from our hearts we thank you! After connecting him with Liz’s (an MCE staff member) brother for some tool donations: Wow, you guys are amazing, thank you, thank you! Yay! Wow. What a beautiful day! I think they are stunned at our continued support. So awesome to help! Thank you all so much!

We have received some very generous donations for the two Paradise families that we have adopted. We cannot thank you enough for your generosity and kindness. We will continue to support them and collect donations into 2019. Thank you! The King family wanted to share a little of their story... Devin and I have been married for 14 years, we have two kids, Kiera 9... years old and Chace almost 5. We closed escrow and were moving into our house when I went into labor with Kiera. It was our first home and we poured ourselves into it. We tore down walls pulled out paneling put in tile and hardwood and a whole new kitchen. We loved our quiet cul-de-sac where the kids could ride their bikes with the neighbors without worrying and we could walk to and from school. The past few years have been hard for our family as I have had been battling with life threatening auto immune disorders. After numerous hospital stays and 3 surgeries we were hopeful things were going to start settling down for us. Unfortunately the Camp Fire happened and took a lot from us. It happened so quickly we were unable to get anything including our animals out. One month after the fire we were allowed to return to the property and one of our cats was there unharmed!! Sadly we found the remains of our two bunnies and tortoise. We are still searching for our 13 year old dog and almost 14 year old cat. With the housing shortage we have been unable to find a rental and will be getting an RV so we can have somewhere to call home. Thank you so much for everything!!!! Again sorry this took so long, it was harder to process than I thought it would be.

Help Munselle Civil Engineering Adopt A Paradise Family this holiday season! MCE’s Staff have adopted two Paradise families affected by the Camp Fire to help get them back on their feet. One of our staff members is from the Chico area and knows these families personally. ... Our first phase of support will be in the form of a gift card drive and cash donations to help them get their immediate needs met. We’re reaching out to you, our community, in hopes that you will join our effort so we can provide even more support to these wonderful families! One family consists of a mom and dad who have lived in Paradise over a decade. Their daughter and son attend grade school schools in Paradise that were lost to the Fire. They’ve lost their home and beloved pets and are currently staying with a relative in Chico. The second family, whose home was also lost, includes a dad who also lost all his tools for his construction business, a mom in nursing school and two young girls they are in the process of adopting. Please consider pitching in with a gift card or cash donation to help us make a difference in these families recovery! Gift cards can be brought into our office at 513 Center Street, Healdsburg, CA 95448 during normal business hours (8am-5pm) and cash donations (no amount is too small!) can be made to: https://paypal.me/MCEAdoptAFamily Please bring your donations to our office by Friday, December 21st. Today the staff took a celebratory field trip to El Pollo Loco #SantaRosa for a site visit and lunch (of course)! This MCE project has been 4 years in the making and narrowly escaped the harrowing wild fires last October. Cort Munselle and others in our firm have made their careers helping people develop property. While so much property was gone all around our county, this was one of those sights that gave us optimism that together we could overcome. It served as a beacon of hope for some of us, seeing it progress on our daily commute. Our project managers walked us around the site and discussed the development from start to finish.

It’s not easy to say goodbye to an awesome staff member! Nothing but love and support to Maddy on the next chapter of her journey. She will always have a place at MCE. (Only 2 staff members missing at this staff luncheon.).

We aren’t sure if the MCE survey crew landed on Mars or one of their client’s newly designed reservoirs! Either way, the scale of this irrigation reservoir is impressive. #civilengineering #landsurveying #sonomacounty #healdsburg #reservoir #mars #wehavevision
