Turn the noise into music!!! If you recently posted a blank black picture supporting the #blackouttuesday and #blm movements, thank you for broadening the signal and showing solidarity. It is creating noise that is being heard. But we don’t really understand this noise because we aren’t educating ourselves. Imagine how much more impactful this noise can be if we bring clarity to it and turn the noise into powerful messages and lyrics? If we can hear the voices sharing their ...stories and experiences? Instead of just posting a blank post with one or two hashtags: ACKNOWLEDGE how you and society have contributed to these events and how we have been complicit in systemic oppression for many years. REFLECT on your actions and the actions you can do to help these movements and the world around us INFORM people of resources and actions they can do, like encouraging people to vote and to donate. EDUCATE yourself and others on global and local events and SHARE them with your family, friends, and community. There are protests being held, people being injured, people missing, and people being detained. Share this information so their families can find them and support them. There are also many elections currently happening. BROADEN your circles. Diversify the people you talk to.
