Our Junior Engineering classes build off young children's natural curiosity by introducing them to the uses of technology in their daily lives. Our lessons help them explore through interactive projects, engaging literature, and fun demonstrations. The self-discovery and teamwork students experience in our classes builds confidence, sets an important framework for their future education, and helps them make sense of the theories they learn in school for years to come! #EFKSTEM #Bakersfield
Kids aren't excluded from suffering from anxiety and stress. It can be very difficult for a child to open up to their parents about issues at school - virtual or in person! More often than not, they may not understand why they are feeling this way and thus become more inclined to keep it to themselves.
Create your own ROCK CANDY at home with this fun experiment! ' : -3 cups of white sugar -Wood skewers or cake pop sticks... -1 cup of water -3 glasses -Food coloring or a Kool-Aid packet -Clothespin/clamps : Pour water into a pot and bring it to a boil. Add the sugar cup at a time, making sure it dissolves completely in between each pour. Continue adding the sugar until it can no longer dissolve. Take the sugar off heat and allow it to cool for 15 minutes. In the meantime, soak the skewers or cake pop sticks in water and coat the upper half of the stick in plain sugar. Allow sticks to completely dry before dipping in sugar solution. Pour food coloring or packet of Kool-aid into the bottom of each glass. Carefully pour sugar solution into each glass, and mix well. Allow liquid to cool to room temperature before adding sticks. Take the stick and with a clothespin at the end and insert them into the glasses, making sure the stick does not touch the bottom or sides. Wait at least 2 days- 2 or 3 weeks for the crystals to form ( !). When removing the sticks, use a knife to break off crystals that may have formed on the sides, and if the stick is stuck to the bottom, pour warm water on the glass, and gently pry off the stick. , ! #EFKathome #stemeducation #homeschool #kidsactivity #EFKSTEM #Candy #DIY #HomeActivity #STEM #Food #DIYCandy #Bakersfield #Education #cooking See more
