2020 can take a walk but Backyard Weddings you can stay. You’re chill.

Happy Pride Month! We’re so grateful that we’ve been able to document everyone’s love stories!

Back in early March we squeaked in our first (and maybe only? ) wedding of 2020. We’re so glad that Rachel and Joey’s day was able to happen. A few days later we self isolated. It’s hard not to be bummed. We were so excited about a big year ahead with so many fun couples. We don’t know what the rest of this year will bring but we know 2021 is gonna be a good one either way. In between emails and chats with clients, I’m baking a lot and safely delivering bread to family. Christian’s doing a lot of drawing and skating with his boys. How are you all passing time at home?

First things first we hope that you and your loved ones are staying healthy, calm, and that you found a couple rolls of toilet paper! We’ve had some events postpone or reschedule and expect more to follow. We completely understand and will work with you to find alternative dates should you want to explore this. All deposits will be applied to those future dates. We would rather be safe and healthy than sorry. If you have any concerns and are considering rescheduling, please r...each out. We’re happy to check our calendar and work together to make this feel as good as it can. As freelancers this is especially hard. Photography is a labor of love for us more than it is a lucrative career. Things are pretty lean most of the year but we love what we do and want to continue to do it for many years to come. Our role as photographers is more than just showing up the day of, we do a lot of work before and after every event but receive the majority of payments at the time of the event. We understand this is something we signed up for but moments like this make it more difficult. We have years of online client galleries from engagement sessions, weddings, and family sessions that are still active and connected to our professional print lab. If you’ve been thinking about buying prints and want to support Christian and I now would be a great time. In addition, we’ve gone ahead and uploaded some of our favorite landscapes and personal photos that we feel would make for an awesome addition to your home (like this one in my home). We understand some people are in a somewhat precarious spot right but if you want some pretty prints and are able to, we would love and appreciate the support. Link in bio.
