I just said goodbye to my 20’s and I must confess.... I’m excited about it! My 20’s were great, don’t get me wrong. I got married to my best friend, grew my family, started my career as a Realtor, bought a house and so much more! But I feel like 30 is going to bring some really great things! My daughter is coming in less than a month, my business continues to grow, and God has been doing some awesome things with us! I can’t wait to see what God does in this decade of my life! Hello 30 and everything you have in store!
Warmer temps got thoughts of a home garden on the brain? Here are three tips if you're a newbie gardener: 1. Start small. If you’ve never gardened before, start small and learn the ropes of planting, watering, fertilizing, and picking. If all goes well, go big next year! 2. Consider a theme. Love Chinese cuisine? Focus on snow peas, radishes, cucumbers, cabbage, broccoli, bok choy, and bean sprouts. Sucker for fresh salsa (I mean, really, who isn’t?) Think tomatoes, swee...t peppers, chili peppers, onions, tomatillos, and celery (and don't forget the cilantro and cumin). 3. Plan for pests. Deer, raccoons, rabbits, and other pests love veggies just as much as you do. Ask neighbors or local garden center experts the easiest way to keep your garden pest-free. Did you know a home garden is not only magnificent for the taste buds but can also reduce stress and fend off the blues? If you’re on the fence, I say, go for it! See more
No doubt you’ve heard it’s a seller’s market, but that doesn't mean buyers are getting left high and dry. All the chatter may have you wondering this week’s FAF (Frequently Asked Friday). Q: Is now a good time to buy? A: I’ve got four words for you: HISTORICALLY LOW-INTEREST RATES!!! ... Did you know interest rates reached their highest point in 1981 when the annual average was 16.63%? Yep. It's true. Freddie Mac said so. Now, fast forward 40 years... Last week, the average 30-year fixed-rate hovered right around 2.8%. 2.8% for a 30-year fixed mortgage that's incredible! If you have decent credit, steady employment, and are seriously tired of renting, consider buying! You’ll get WAY MORE house for your dollar with interest rates this low. Curious to see how much more? Let's chat! See more
Fun fact about me: I LOVE BEES I know it’s weird and kind of random... I grew up in the middle of 12 acres of almond trees and every spring I was surrounded by a million bees for orchard pollination. My dad is actually the one responsible for sparking my love for bees. He started beekeeping as a hobby when I was young and I learned that bees are so amazing! Yes, I’ve been stung... but it was my fault not theirs. I accidentally squished them each time it happened an...d they were just defending themselves! They’re really nice, I promise! We are having a bee crisis so please bee kind and don’t smash them! Let them live their lives and pollinate our flowers! #WeNeedBees . . . #ILoveBees #Ripon #RiponCA #AlmondBlossoms #AlmondCapitalOfTheWorld #BeesAreTheBest See more

Thinking through new habits you’d like to embrace in 2021? While there’s no secret sauce (sigh), here are some tidbits of wisdom that have helped me along the way: Start small. Really. There’s nothin’ like getting a few quick wins under your belt to boost your motivation.... Consider stacking. Already have one habit on autopilot? Stack a new one right before it and ride the momentum. Embrace imperfection. You’ll miss a day...and that’s okay. Shake it off and move on. Tell a buddy. Ask a friend to check in on you over text to see how you’re doing. Find a podcast. There’s a podcast for that! Grab inspiration and coaching to stay focussed -- listen during your daily commute, while waiting to get the kids, or while walking the dog. Take a day off. Every.single.day can feel overwhelming. Take a regular day off. It may just make you realize how much progress you’re making. What tips and hacks have helped you embrace new habits? I wanna learn from youshare in the comments below! Resolved to get your home in tip-top shape this year? It doesn’t have to be overwhelming. I'm not sure if I'm starting the "nesting phase" of pregnancy, or my OCD is getting out of control... but I'll be applying this to my home! Get started little by little with these quick tips: 1. Clean out closets one at a time. Go through each item and sort into three piles: keep, trash, and donate.... 2. Your pantry takes a beating day after day. Show it some love by throwing away misfits and checking expiration dates. 3. Going batty over cords, chargers, and devices? Invest in a charging station for multiple devices to keep gadgets (new and old) under control. 4. Stay on top of clutter little by little. When you have a few minutes, clean out a drawer here and a cabinet there. 5. Books doing nothing but collecting dust? Donate gently loved classics to your library’s used book sale. 6. Cut down on paper clutter by unsubscribing from junk mail and signing-up for electronic billing. Last year taught us there’s not much we can controlwe can, however, always be intentional to create a home we love! May 2021 be the year you do just that. See more
