How long have I been shooting? This long. When I was 7 years old, my mom bought me my very first film camera and my life changed forever. She inspired me to capture everyday life. I would even take my camera to school and take pictures of friends and whatever would get my attention. My mom later bought a camcorder. I would make little vlogs and family movies. As a teen, I saved up all my money and bought my first digital camera. But, still it was always ju...st a hobby for me. After changing my major 3 times, at 25 years old, I finally decided to take some photography classes. I loved it so much and finished the 2-year program. I'm blessed to have found my passion so early in life. My camera has taken me out of my comfort zone and been my passport to adventure. With it, I have worked with lovely people and shot amazing events. It has raised my hand and given me a language with which to speak. My camera has helped me freeze time that could never be replicated. Today, we are lucky to have a camera at the palm of our hands (our phones) so please take more photos and record as much as you can. Here is a little #behindthescenes for you! This is one of my faves from Jeanette & Steven's session. I took this photo from across the street with my longest zoom lens which is more flattering for portraits while my assistant lit them up. It was a busy road and we had to not only wait to cross the street safely but to get the right shot without cars photobombing us @ Malibu, California
I restored my dad's aunt portrait! This photo was taken in 1950. Also, a little early, but Happy Women's Day! So thankful to know many talented, hardworking and inspirational women.
