Three Cla Val 60-BC Booster Pump Control Valves installed in a rural water system prevent water hammer caused by power failure or sudden shutdown of the pumps by closing gradually. Model 60-BC features the Powertrol style main valve body for precise control of the pumping system. The valve’s pilot system includes a direct-acting, four-way CS4SM Solenoid Control to change valve position; an X105LCW Limit Switch Assembly for valve position indication; an 81-01 Check Valve to protect against flow reversal; and a large filter to prevent clogging of the pilot system. High speed relief. Big Blue pictured here is one of two 24 Cla-Val 50-01 Pressure Relief/Pressure Sustaining Valves installed to control pressure in a 54 transmission pipeline in the desert southwest. Because of system operating conditions, the valves were supplied with two 1-1/2 50-47 High Speed Pressure Relief Valves installed in the pilot systems to control the opening speed of the larger valves. The capability to quickly and remotely react to excess pressure conditions is especially important to the location of the installation where temperatures often climb to above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Purple reigns! Kudos to the communities across the country that place significant focus on using reclaimed water to irrigate parks, golf courses and greenbelts. This purple beauty is a 124-14KO Float Control Valve used in a municipal reclaimed water system. The valve feeds off a high pressure main with 60-80 psi inlet pressure and dumps to atmosphere into a lake. It is used to maintain back pressure and is equipped with a CF1-C1 float control for high level shutoff in the lake. If the system has plenty of pressure, and the lake level is down, the valve can flow. The valve is also equipped with KO Anti-Cavitation Trim to mitigate cavitation in the valve. Pillars of the community. Here you see a 24 two-way altitude valve with solenoid shut-off used to fill two hydro pillar style water towers in a distribution system serving more than 1.2 million people. The Model 610-27 valve is designed to control the high water level in tanks or reservoirs without the need for floats or other devices. The non-throttling valve remains fully open until the solenoid is activated or the shut-off point of the CDS6A Hydraulic Altitude Pilot Control is reached. The valve closes at high water level and opens for return flow when the pressure at the valve inlet is less than tank pressure. Who’s your MVP? If we’re talking about a waterworks system, chances are it’s a Cla-Val Automatic Control Valve. Serving those who serve. One of the largest military bases in the US gets a boost from Cla-Val Pump Control Valves. Here you see two of three Cla-Val Booster Pump Control Valves installed at two new pump stations on the massive base. The valves are part of water system that includes over 33 miles of drinking water pipelines, 70 wells and 375 reservoirs serving a daytime population of more than 70,000 military and civilian personnel.
