Todd Carroll Los Angeles Actor and Acting coach will be visiting El Paso for the month of December and will be teaching a two part Acting Workshop Saturday December 7th at Actorspace at 812 N. Virginia St 79902. The morning will consist of "The Foundation of Acting" how to dissect any script and learn in depth script analysis the way professional actors do. If you say yeah yeah I've done this in College or University I promise you I take it further the way A-list actors tackl...e scripts. Learn how to confidently tackle any script. The afternoon will be "Auditioning Technique" how to prepare for an audition and what to do in the audition room. MY THOUGHT FOR TODAY: Actors are always told to be professionals. I am a professional and always do my best to be. There are times when people with projects send out scripts in the body of an email instead of a downloadable attachment. Words are covered up or lines are chopped in half, etc. This is not professional in my opinion. An actor's script is a big part of his toolbox. Sometimes the spelling or grammar is incorrect or even the character's name is wrong above some of t...he lines. I have had very rude egotistic responses in the past regarding some of these issues when brought to light. I would think the person would be thankful for having these errors pointed out, instead of being rude and defensive. Make it as easy as possible for actors to self submit with the least amount of technical hoops to jump through. Most actors are juggling so many things in their lives and usually have a limited amount of time to work on the audition. Something so simple as sending a clean proof read downloadalbe script the actor can print off easily is huge for actors. Ultimately you should want the actors to do their best so, what I am saying is everyone has to do their part in being helpful and professional not just the actor. Lets leave our egos at the door our positions do not make us better or less than anyone else. See more

I trained for three years with Rodney Conway, who studied with the man himself Sandy and his protege Bill Esper for two years full time at the New York Playhouse in the 70s. Wow how cool is that.
