Try to find opportunities where there really aren't very many videos about a certain topic or keyword. Then go and make a short 2-3 minute informational video about that topic and post it to YouTube. Make sure to include your website address at the bottom of your video too so people kn...ow how to get more of you! SEO Shortcut #1 : Google + If you want to get to the first page of Google and you don't have $2,000 a month to do so, then here is a neat trick. Make a lot of friends on Google Plus. Why? Because whenever you are connected with someone on Google Plus, then you are more likely to show up in their search results for keywords related to what you do and who you are. So get on Google Plus and start connecting.

Did you know that 1 out of 5 Yelp reviews never make it on the site. If you ever leave a review, make sure to: 1) Do it from an account that has left multiple reviews in a predictable, geographic pattern. (Not 1 from Alaska and 1 from Florida) 2) Don't use extreme adjectives. ... 3) Don't use keywords. 4) Don't use links. 5) older accounts tend to be stickier.

Are you copying other web pages content or putting the same content on your site more than once? If so, you are guilty of having intra or intersite duplicate content on your site. In other words, if any of the words on your site are replicated on other pages of your site or on another website, then you may have a duplicate content issue. If you're citing someone else's content make sure you or your SEO person is adding a link back in the citation and using block quotes to de...lineate the citation. If you are using "boiler plate" terms of use, manufacturer information, nutrition facts, etc, make sure to add that page to robots.txt. If you have some unique content but you need to feature it in multiple pages (for example, a logged in version and a non-logged in version,) utilize a rel=canonical tag so that Google only counts a single version of the text. Avoid the duplicate content penalty! See more

Does anyone use Alexa, Quantcast, Compete.com, or Google trends for traffic estimates? Well we suggest you stop. In our experience, all of these services are widely inaccurate for anything but anecdotal guesstimates.

If you are producing web content, make sure to digitally "sign it" with a rel=author tag. That signature is tied to your Google account and anyone you add in Google+ later will be more likely to see your content in the search engine results pages!

Anyone out there use Google Analytics to track their web traffic? Did you know that GA automatically lumps a lot of unknown referrals into the "direct" category if you do not appropriately tag your links? For example, if you syndicate an article link without the appropriate tag, almost 35% of the traffic to the article (on average) is likely to be lumped into direct! Tag your links using the appropriate UTM parameters!
