#EDHFire is currently vaccinating El Dorado County teachers and educators at Fire Station 86. This is the second dose of MODERNA for approximately 675 people. We are proud to be teamed up the the El Dorado County Office of Education and El Dorado County Public Health to make this vaccine clinic a reality.

SPOTS ARE OPEN!! Space is available in the upcoming #EDHFire Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). If you would like to join CERT and give back to our community, please follow the link below. Course sessions are limited to 20 seats and being offered FREE of charge. Seats will be filled on a first come basis to members that live in our community but all are welcome to apply. #EDHFire morns the loss of Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District Engineer Kyle Rutherford who died this morning while traveling to a duty assignment.

#EDHFire is on scene of a vehicle fire on Highway 50 at Latrobe Rd. Exit. All occupants are safely accounted for.

#EDHFire is on scene of a house fire on Lost Horizon Road in the Latrobe Community. Crews arrived to find a working attic fire in a large home. Fire crews from #EDHFire, #ElDoradoCountyFire, and #amadorcountyfire initiated an aggressive interior attack and kept the fire from extending to the rest of the home. No civilians or firefighters were injured. Crews remain on scene to ensure that the fire is completely extinguished. The cause is under investigation.

Today, #EDHFire and El Dorado County Public Health teamed up with the El Dorado County Office of Education to administer the COVID-19 vaccination to almost 700 citizens and educators. It is truly our honor to serve this great Community. #EDHFireCERT

It is that time of year again when we begin collecting toys for local families in need. This year, #EDHFire is working with local hospitals and schools to help collect and distribute toys to our families in need. Each of our five EDH fire stations as well as Rescue Fire Station 83 will have collection boxes in front of our stations to allow for a donation with social distancing. Our collection is going on now and will continue through Christmas. Donations that are received ...after Christmas will be stored for next year’s toy distribution. If you have any questions regarding the toy drive, please reach out to our Toy Collection Lead by visiting our Santa Run web page. Our elves will also be collecting food and toy donations at the Santa Run Drive-Thru at Rolling Hills Church on December 17th & 18th from 7-9pm. CAL FIRE, Amador-El Dorado Unit lifts the Residential Burning Ban for those with a valid burn permit. Burn permits are available online at https://burnpermit.f...ire.ca.gov/ . Residents are required to call their local Air Quality District prior to burning to ensure burning is allowed on the day of burning. See more
