Currently a Lila Acheson Fellow in Playwrighting at Julliard, Dominic is also a graduate of Columbia’s MFA program. His plays have been produced and developed at Roundabout Theater. The New Group, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Clubbed Thumb, The Lark, The Flea and the Kennedy Center, among others. BOLD FACED SECRET IS SEEKING SUBMISSIONS! Performance date: 10/30 Submission deadline: 10/20... THEME: IN THEIR SHOES Tell us a story about the time you misunderstood or were misunderstood. The time you gave a second chance. Or should’ve given one. Unlikely bonds and unexpected friendships. The time you opened your mind, opened someone else’s heart, reached across the aisle. Disguises, costumes, getting out of your own world and into someone else’s. Please submit a video of you telling your storyyou can also submit a written version if that’s easier, but if video-ing, please TELL usas opposed to readingyour story. WELCOME TO THE ECHO @gideonjeph ! Gideon is the newest addition to our team as our co- literary manager. Gideon Jeph Wabvuta is a Zimbabwean writer, solo actor and teaching artist based in Los Angeles. He is a 2019 graduate of the University of Southern California MFA Dramatic Writing program. His work as a writer includes Family Riots, Master’s Shoe, and his solo show Mbare Dreams amongst others. He has taught writing in the US, UK, South Africa, Zimbabwe and many others. His work in theater has also included stints as a program’s director and as a play reader. He also works as a consultant, and researcher for tv shows in development. Gideon’s artistic goal is to create works of art that will reclaim and reframe the African narrative on the world stage. It’s an honor to have you on board!!! #latheatre #echotheatercompany
