Tristram Stewart went from feeding his pigs to becoming a mover and motivator on the issue of global food waste. He is passionate and he has some ideas everyone should hear. The video below is from a talk he gave at a TED conference in London but it ties directly to the food waste crisis here in America. Driving behind a major grocery store in Walnut Creek, California just yesterday I witnessed crates and crates of food--good, unspoiled and edible food--tossed into a trash compactor or into a truck to be thrown away offsite. In America alone, 40 percent of food produced goes to waste and roughly one-third of food produced in world is lost or wasted. Really?
