Happy Holidays everyone! The Holidays are a very joyous time but there are numerous hazards for your furry friends. VPI insurance lists the following 5 hazards as the top 5 most dangerous holiday pet hazards. 1) Holiday Decorations: very dangerous if ingested. 2) Cold weather hazards: Although its not something to worry about in california, Antifreeze can kill with just one lick! 3) Table scraps: Fatty food can cause stomach upset and the bones can cause obstruction or choking. 4) Holiday Plants: Holly, mistletoe, poinsettia, lillies and x-mas tree water can be toxic if ingested. 5) Lost pet: Your pet can slip out while your holiday guests come in and out so be sure to microchip your pet and have current ID tags. If any of the above happens, please call us or the Eagle Rock Emergency Clinic!

Attention Felimazole users: We now offer feline Y/D prescription diet which regulates the thyroid levels of cats. Since Y/D has very low levels of iodine, you can stop giving the tablets and switch to Y/D prescription food.
