You all have been patiently waiting, and we are now excited to announce that we will be OPENING THE HANGARS starting this Thursday, March 18th! You can now wal...k through the majority of our hangars with masked Museum Guides throughout the museum telling stories related to our large collection of historical aircraft. Plus, on Saturdays and Sundays, the Museum’s Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress will be open for you to safely enter and learn about the men and women who designed, built, and flew these massive bombers during World War II. Discount pricing remains in effect ($12.00 per adult, $5.00 for children 5-11, and 4 and under are Free). The Museum’s Gift Shop is open and full of great aviation toys, apparel, and books! So grab the family, grab your mask, and come on down to the Planes of Fame Air Museum!

ORIGINAL POST: Free Young Eagle flights on Saturday, June 12 for kids aged 8 - 17 at Placerville Airport through Hangtown EAA Chapter 512. Founded in 19...92, the Young Eagles program is dedicated to giving youth ages 817, an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers. The East coast is now five hours difference, Centra...l time is six hours, Mountain time seven hours and Pacific time eight hours.
