Brother Sophia is a rising junior studying Marketing and Sociology. She is serving as the VP of Marketing for this upcoming term. This summer, I had the opportunity to do two internships in the Philippines. First, I was a marketing and research intern at Generation HOPE, a hybrid social enterprise, donating 100% of their profits to building classrooms across the nation. I go to assist in commercial shoots, create videos for their social media... accounts, and help launch a sticker line! Next, I was a digital editorial intern at Town & Country PH magazine. I attended media events, transcribed interviews, and wrote a few articles in addition to contributing to other pieces. Brother Luis is a rising sophomore and is a member of Gamma Xi’s most recent pledge class! After a fun first year at SCU, it was really nice coming home to catch up with some family and friends. This summer I was able to go on many fun adventures. From exploring untouched lands in the Philippines to appreciating remarkable artworks and landmarks across Europe. Aside from this, I did a short internship organized by a group of amazing people in Krispy Kreme Philippines. There,... I was immersed in the day-to-day operations of the finance department. I was responsible for updating promo costs and assisting in the standardization of their per channel profit & loss. As an undeclared business major, this experience allowed me to be more familiar with the field of Finance, and how it contributes to the overall success of the company. Overall, this summer has definitely been one for the books, but I am also excited to be back for my second year in SCU. Great work, Luis! #krispykremeph #dspsummerspotlight

Brother Erika is a rising senior studying Finance! She is serving as the Pledge Education Assistant in the fall. This summer I was an Audit & Assurance intern at Deloitte! I was able to serve various public and private tech companies within the Bay Area. I learned how to execute audit procedures based on industry risks and the client’s unique internal control processes. Aside from connecting with and learning from my teams, my favorite part of the internship was participating in the Audit Intern Conference at Deloitte University. Brother Dina is a rising junior studying MIS and Business Analytics This summer I’m interning as a CSBG Reliant Intern at Lam Research, a semiconductor company based in Fremont. I focus on improving customer facing business through documentation and application development to enhance the product collaterals delivered to customers. Having been at Lam for one year, I’ve been able to learn a lot about mechanical engineering and the semiconductor industry as a whole and it has been eye opening and rewarding!
