We got a notification today from a company publicizing an essay contest that looks like a potential scam. The rules require candidates to save their essays with their full names and date of birth as the file name, and set to public sharing on googledocs. In other words- publishing personal data. We want to remind you to review all scholarships and essay contests carefully! Double check to be sure the company/awarding org is legitimate, and if they are asking for either $ or suspicious amounts of personal data up front, be very careful.
