Instead, their leaders in Government, go out on radio to sing their own praises as having put their area on the map of development while their people still wallow in this type of infrastructure. Where people failed to get any form of leadership from above on a local developmental issue of building a trade bridge from Kalwanga to Kitenga Trading Center. People decided to get their hands dirty by assembling their own make shift bridge on a dry season across a swamp. Hoping that when the wet season returns, this bridge will enable them to cross over the swamp despite of risen water levels. By allowing local farmers and traders to collect fire wood and other weak wood materials to build a make shift bridge, without any interventions from the neither the local or central government, current leaders have made a statement that we are too powerless to develop your area.

It’s no longer enough to forget the high impact of farmers in the whole story of the Uganda Farmer in crafting a more befitting Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Uganda will forever be a Indebted to Countries that value their Agricultural sector like America, Netherlands, Denmark, Canada, Australia, China and Norway, if our majority working class citizens, we have commonly called farmers continue being fleeced at the market place. Prioritization of brighter farmers prices will Jolt up a multitude of sectors for the economic development of our Country. Raising earnings for farmers can boost the education sector, infuse manufacturing, Jolt agro-Processing plants, fuel the export and import sectors, Energize food security for disaster preparedness, raise household incomes, galvanize research and scientific development, boost tax collections, speed up public projects like Roads, hospitals, Information and technology extensions and many other spill over benefits as a result of a broadened tax base as a straight result of raised farm earnings. We need to invest in a well designed mechanism that can unite farmers in large regional cooperative communities with state subsidized infrastructure to ensure a low cost of produce collection in order to maximize market capacity to raise earnings for involved farmers. This will enable bigger export options which will reap more foreign currency and reverse investment that lead to more white collar Jobs and lower the country’s General unemployment burden. Through proper, Agricultural re-organization of Farming among Family owned farms and ranches to Corporate owned farmlands, the nation will consolidate an unprecedented economic recovery from a highly indebted country to a massively successful economic Nation through properly managing farm prices and agricultural infrastructure. Mechanized farming will then also become a foregone conclusion in this arrangement.
