It’s been an intense and emotional week in the US in the wake of George Floyd’s murder by police in Minneapolis. Direct to Earth believes strongly that Black Lives Matter and supports the protests against ongoing police brutality against black folks across the US. We also believe that, as history has taught us, real change usually requires both peaceful and violent protests. We are fed up and want to see change. Out of respect for the ongoing protests we are pausing our Laten...ite Connexions release series this week and asking instead for donations to the National Lawyers Guild San Francisco Bay Area Chapter. The NGL-SF provides legal support for folks protesting and organizing against injustice and is working hard to support protestors in the Bay Area. We’re sure it comes as no surprise that our collaboration with Robot Ears featuring Shifted on March 27th will have to be postponed to a later date TBA. We are already working on rescheduling the event for a later time. Can't help but cherish all the amazing nights we've gotten to experience out there. It's going to be a while before we do it again. We'll be back in full force, best believe. In the meantime, Venues like F8 1192 Folsom are taking a huge hit and need your help.... Before the shutdown, they got slammed with an uncalled/unreasonable fee from the government added onto their taxes. You can donate to their Gofundme to help them survive through this chaos.
