Musical crates with Solovina these pics were taken when Solo first started coming inside. She loves Sage and Ginger, and would play musical crates trying to be near the other girls who looked like her Solovina started to quickly decline after becoming comfortable here, and free from her chained life Her rear legs never really worked properly, and usually always had a bend to them when walking. The past weeks her legs instead of strengthening on her walks, started to ...give her more problems. To where now she cannot walk without her rear legs crossing together twisting, and her toes tucking under (neurological issues). At first Solo loved to eat so much she was a bit food agressive and always growled if anyone approached her bowl. She had a really great appetite. Along with Solos legs giving out her appetite has too. She hasn’t ate since Thursday except a few small treats. The entyce i gave her had her trying to eat a little bit today, but as soon as she ate a few bites it came right back up. Waited a few hours and tried the treats she loved with same results Solo now can’t even keep her food down. Tonight will be my last with my girl Solovina, who i thought in the beginning when rescued just a couple months back would have years in her for me to enjoy. If you know me you know Rottweilers are my heart and to think one day I’d be having her for years, to so quickly that yrs turned to just a couple months, is devastating beyond words I am so glad i got to her so she wasn’t suffering on that chain anymore until her death, but so broken up it wasn’t in time to make it before her issues started to take over. Solovina cannot go on like this, so i will love her and tell her the best story tonight of how special she is, and tomorrow afternoon Dr Singh will help my sweet Solo run free I need prayers for me on this one. Horrible news for Solovina It is neurological, and nothing can be done. I did have Dr Singh give her a Dexamethasone injection hoping it’ll give her some strength, and I’ll add entyce to her meds, but other than that if she doesnt start eating Solo might need to come back in next week to help cross over. If she gets her apetite back she could have a few months, depending on how rapid her neurological issues are Absolutely the worst news Positive thoughts and prayers for Solovina

It’s starting to get super cold at night here in Cali so Kendi came up yesterday in the rain to bring Kitchi Brown a new dog house. He has yet to get in it, the times i check on him, but hopefully he gets the hang of it Grady keeping Kitchi company

Rise and Shine, even when you don’t feel like you have any shine in you Oden is still healing. His baths continue, but his antibiotics have ran out. Still not completely healed. Much better, but still needs two baths a week, and possibly another round of antibiotics, along with another cytopoint injection. He continues to itch throughout the day, but not anywhere near as bad as he was. Solovina has to have something going on. I know she was chained her whole life prev...iously, so doesn’t know how to play or anything, but Solo doesn’t do anything at all. Lately it seems like her back legs don’t work right and she has no energy. All she does is lay around now, not doing anything at all. If we’re inside she will stumble into a crate and just lay until it’s time for another pee break. While outside she’s stumbling around, with her back legs usually half bent down as she walks around to pee. Then she’ll just lay down, usually by her old kennel or Kitchie Browns kennel. Solovina I’m not sure if it’s emotional or physical . Yesterday the way her back legs were it was looking like possibly neurological issues going on. Knees buckling down, feet turning under dragging, & she hasn’t been eating the last couple days. She just flips her bowl over the last couple days and lays down I’ll get Solovina in next week to see Dr Singh again, and make an appt for Oden when Dr Alfaro can get him in. Pearl is in need of prayers Pearls tumor has really been growing lately, and after giving her a shave yesterday i noticed it is starting to open. She is eating fine still, and hasn’t been crying any, so I’ll just keep her comfy until she starts showing any signs of pain or discomfort And yes, she is on pain meds, and no, she is too old for surgery. Prayers and positive thoughts is all that can help her at her age

I had to run to town today and when i got back Gerry had passed away in her crate. Geraldine just arrived in August after being transferred from Mells Mutts after they found out Gerry was hospice with an enlarged heart. Gerry seemed fine to me. No heavy or labored breathing, no cough like my other heart kids have. I thought Gerry would have a year or two the way she seemed My poor girl passed alone, so heartbreaking Fly High sweet Geraldine ... Looking at these results I thought Solovina had a ton of things going on. Several in the red, some high, some low.., But Dr says nothing serious, organs are fine. The reds are nothing to worry about And turns out Solovina loves to watch TV. She’s adjusting so well

Rolo arrived a couple months back after losing his property to fire. Rolos dad lived in a trailer that was burned up in the creek fire. Rolo and his other dog friends lived outside covered in fleas. Rolos back legs had such atrophy set in he couldn’t get himself up at all, and when helped up could only shuffle around a few minutes before collapsing back down. In Rolos almost two months in DREAM Land he had only 2 or 3 good days where he was walking awhile without falli...ng over, but a few good days out of two months is no quality of life. All Rolo would do is lay around messing on himself. He had every tick borne illness except lymes. This poor boy has been suffering awhile, and i am so glad that his last two months he got to spend them inside with everyone (me & dogs), and finally knew what the good life existed of. Even though he couldn’t move he still observed a lot, and was able to soak in the love. After talking with Dr yesterday we didn’t see any use of continuing with Rolos treatments, considering he’s been miserable and crying every night out of frustration.
