A SWEET SUCCESS: Dr. Chan Delivers Candy, Cards and Beanie Babies to the Troops Despite Covid-19, Dr. Curtis Chan's 12th annual Candy Buy Back and Card Give Back program brought in 1,184 pounds of candy for the troops this year. In addition to candy, Dr. Chan also collected 1,222 hand written cards and letters to the troops by children and donations of 538 Beanie Babies. Dr. Chan and his wife Mae proudly delivered to Operation Gratitude last Friday. Representatives from the U....S. Marine Corps were at Dr. Chan's office in Del Mar on Thursday, November 5th, as 100 children came in to exchange bags of treats for dollar bills. Each child also left with prizes, a toothbrush kit to brush away any damage from the Halloween candy they kept and a chance to win a Golden Ticket worth $100. A SWEET congrats to the 5 winners of the Golden Ticket found in Dr. Chan Candy Bar! We said our "goodbyes" to Jessica today. We are so excited for Jessica our dental intern for the last 18 months as she enters her next phase of dental school at UC San Francisco. We wish her the best as she embarks on this exciting journey. Being an intern at the dental office of Dr. Chan is the most rewarding experience. A BIG thank you to the community for a SWEET success to this year's Candy Drive for the Troops. I am truly grateful for the support again this year for our deployed troops. It was a wonderful day on Veteran's day as the winners of the raffles came to the dental office to pick up their prizes. WINNERS of Dr. Chan's Candy Drive raffles: Spa Dental Health Basket- Addison, iPad Digital Basket- Madeline and the closest guess of how many LBS Dr. Chan collected is Mizuki. This cute 4 yr old guessed: 8,738 lbs- only 18lb difference. A SWEET congrats to all of this year's winners!

Happy Veteran's Day. The MOST rewarding part of the candy drive for the troops is the 4,591 cards and letters that were lovingly written for the troops and veterans.
