From all of us to all of you.
Day 7 of Ninja challenge: All continues to go well. Doing my best on meeting the requirements. Some days my body will just not sleep 6-8 hours. Most days I have challenging workouts, but today's 30 minutes of exercise was a nice walk in the park with the dog. Tomorrow will be a great 90 minute Tenio DeCuerdas Diestro Eskrima class. I am looking forward to the training with GM Ziazon. We go some great clam chowder tonight from the sourdough restaurant. It was a new experience telling them no bread with the soup. Blood sugar is continuing to be in acceptable levels. Miss sugar a little bit but not too much. I am loving the books I am reading. Good night to all.
Day 12 of the Ninja challenge: All is going well. I am meeting most of the requirements. Sometimes my body will not sleep 6 hours. Exercise was fun today. I trained with my long staff doing drills with 2 other black belts and did a 30 minute late night walk. Blood sugar remains stable. Reading more than 10 pages of non fiction. It remains a fun challenge.
Day 10 of the 30 day challenge. It has been a great day. Sticking to the framework of the challenge. Water intake very good. Did a cardio kickboxing class and did a nice long nighttime walk with the dog. The book I am reading is great and full of women being strong and courageous as they face life's journey. Blood sugar has responded well to this challenge and is doing really well. I still miss bread sometimes, but not that much.
Great evening for breezeway classes.
Day 5 of the challenge. It has been a good day. My reading today was a non-fiction book on the rise of the Xena phenomenon. After 25 years the show still has many followers and the Xenites have raised tons of money for so many charities that it is amazing. The show had a number of references for the greater good and the fans have continued doing things for the greater good. I would love to see martial artist do that. Met the conditions of the challenge that I Joined. Of course the easiest part is the exercise, I train a minimum of 30 minutes daily, most days more than that. My blood sugar continues to stabilize, I am back in the 150's weight wise, I had gotten into the 160's. I really wanted to have some bread today, but I did not. Over all I am enjoying the discipline of the challenge.
Both Mia and Jack have been steadfast throughout their training time. As any school owner knows Covid has been a challenging time. These two have been so flexible during this time. They have done zoom only classes, classes in the park, classes back in the building, back to outdoor classes in the breezeway. They have shown the strength of their minds and their commitment to their art in so many ways. Many of our students have done this also, but today we honor those two. I deeply appreciate all my student past and present.
Day 9 of the challenge. It was a good for keeping some goals. I continue to read book daily. It has so many talks of people who have overcome things to be strong. My blood sugar was in double digits 95 which is very good for my blood sugar. Water in take was excellent. Fun cardio kickboxing class, and a nice 11pm walk with the dog. Sugar has not been too hard to give up, bread is more of a challenge. Had a great garden salad for dinner with out the croutons. Over all a great day.
Congratulations to Mia and Jack. We have a new 2nd gup (Mia) and a new 4th Gup (Jack)

Be mindful of what you accept as truth. You become what you believe what you accept for better or for worse. I don't know the author of this statement, but it is very true and very powerful.
