Big Tuesday for DC, and DC Comics too! Tom King is throwing his weight around with a pair of mini-series this week, Batman/Catwoman 2 and Rorschach 4 We also have Future State first issues from Immortal Wonder Woman, Superman: Worlds of War, Catwoman along with the u pictures Shazam and Nightwing.... Last but not least we have Next Batman 2 continuing Jace (Tim) Fox’s story and a Batgirls backup
It’s DC Conics Tuesday and we are in week 2 of Future State. This week we have the first issues of: Dark Detective - One of my top picks for art in a Batman book, Dan Mora, kicks off his Detective Comics run with Mariko Tamaki right here. Green Lantern sees a bunch of Lanterns with no lanterns and writer Geoffrey Thorne’s debut... Superman/Wonder Woman offers a deeper look at the relationship between Jon and Yara Robin Eternal checks in on one of DC’s two best characters (free comic for whomever guesses who the other one is first), Tim Drake Justice League is all of these future heroes together but more importantly the back up feature is Justice League Dark. Two great tastes? And Kara gets a long overdue promotion in the Superwoman title
Pardon me while I #oldman for a second: I find the continued publication of Detective Comics and Action Comics comforting. At #1033 and #1028 respectively, these books represent the wealth of stories comics have to offer. Thousands of stories told over decades by hundreds of incredibly talented people. Comics are rad
Just read-stocked some McFarlane Spidey books!
Let’s keep the comic shopping intimate! We are open, we are under new occupancy restrictions, we’d love to (briefly) see you, new comics are still coming out Any questions?
It’s another DC Tuesday! This week’s highlights are Batman 100, a Swamp Thing Halloween special, American Vampire 1976 and a beautiful Deluxe version of Mister Miracle
Everyone seems to love Department of Truth! And with good reason. We’ve put together this killer package to celebrate the success of the series. It’s kind of a #tinyonion fan pack. Included is the Department of Truth A cover, B cover, Secret variant, the 1:10 variant, an amazing Ziritt cover, the pin, a Something is Killing the Children facemask and a copy of the very sold out Razorblades, a horror anthology self published by James Tynion... All five covers, mask, pin & Razorblades for $125 We can’t ship this so in-store pickup only
Just because it’s too cool to miss, this Tradd Moore Dr. Doom piece is being used as a loading screen in Fortnite. Along with pieces by James Harren, Dan Mora and others. It’s always great to see comic art in other media!
New comics are on the shelf! Happy Wednesday!
Comics are late! We’ll let you know when they arrive But we did just stock up on dice and D&D fixings if that kind of thing is your bag
Looks like the new comics will be a bit late tomorrow but when they arrive... We have these exquisite Department of Truth pins we got direct from James Tynion IV to go along with his new Image Comics series! These snazzy cats are only $10 or $7 with the purchase of Department of Truth 1. They are limited though so first come, first served.... Get your conspiracy on!

It’s a very Bat-Heavy Tuesday in here! Along with the giant sized Detective Comics 1027 and the Joker War continuing in Batman 99 we have Catwoman 25, the Joker: Killer Smile hardcover and the Curse of the White Knight hardcover. Whew!
The first three covers for the upcoming Rorschach series are phenomenal! Jorge Fornes is one of the best artists working right now, excited to see what he does here Issue one is out 10/13
If you’re into that kind of thing
Happy Wednesday! Big week for new comics, Marauders revisits their best cover, everyone loves Ice Cream Man, Web of Venom is setting up something, Ms. Marvel is finally back, Blackwood keeps up the creepy, Thor & Bill share the reprint cover and Death Metal ties in continue like a bar band covering In-A-Garda-Da-Vida Pop by drcainscomics.com for some other news if you’re inclined
Everyone loves Frank Miller’s Daredevil, and Bendis and Brubaker. But Ann Nocenti and John Romita Jr made Hell’s Kitchen a claustrophobic, oppressive hell on earth in a way no other team has. Completely over the top pulpy goodness. Perfect warm weather reading.
I knew it would happen, but I didn’t expect it so soon! Dark Horse Comics will no longer be making Aliens or Predator comics (Marvel now has the license) and as of today these Essential volumes appear to be out of print. Once these two are gone, that’s it. Have no fear, Marvel will be reprinting all of this eventually, but it might be a minute. Dark Horse did some fantastic comics with both of these properties over the years. End of an era for sure.
