Have you heard about Market Match? Market Match is a program that allows CalFresh recipients to extend their budgets in the farmers' markets for the use of fruits and vegetables by matching up to $10 of their EBT allowance, essentially doubling their benefits. This means more fresh produce on families' tables, and more money being spent locally to help sustain small farms. In 2019, Santa Clara County received over $148,549 in Market Match at the PCFMA farmers' markets, extending to more than 2,656 households. Halfway through 2020, we have already seen more than 1,488 families spending over $68,238 in Market Match dollars at their local markets.
