Campsites and day use opportunities are available at Lake Don Pedro! We encourage you to check the air quality reports to determine if it meets your individual comfort level. You can also take a look at the live video of the boat ramps (from which this image was taken) at donpedrolake.com. Please remember that that all campsites are by reservation only and can be made at donpedrolake.com.

While camping and day-use at Lake Don Pedro remain open, it is important to note that the air quality is extremely poor due to the Moc Fire. The marina at Moccasin Point is currently closed due to the fire and air quality, but Lake Don Pedro Marina near Fleming Meadows remains open. Please be aware that given the hot, dry conditions, there is a higher than normal risk of fire. We ask that all visitors use caution when operating equipment and motor vehicles and when starting, maintaining and extinguishing campfires. We are excited to again have our campgrounds full of happy campers! Thank you for your flexibility in adjusting to the amended campground guidelines. Unfortunately, the Swimming Lagoon will remain closed for the duration of the 2020 season. Adherence to COVID-19 related guidelines delayed all of our park operations, including the o...pening of the lagoon. Our first priority was on preparing the campgrounds for opening to our guests and we are excited to see so many of you taking advantage of our beautiful locations. The lagoon is scheduled to be out of service for a filter replacement in September and there is unfortunately not enough time to prepare the lagoon for guests (a process that would typically take place in March-April) before closing it again at the end of August. We know that the Swimming Lagoon is a favorite feature of many who visit Don Pedro and we are equally disappointed to have to go without it this season. Full details, including the amenities available at each site, are available on the... registration system, as are the rules and regulations for use of campground facilities. - Reservation cancellations, general questions and non-emergency requests should be emailed to [email protected]. - Due to the high volume of calls and voice messages, we are prioritizing questions regarding operational issues. Again, we recommend using the online reservation system at www.donpedrolake.com to reserve a campsite. We will make every effort to reply to you as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience as we strive to meet all of our guests’ needs.

The online reservation site is now available. We are hopeful that the problem has been fixed and that all our guests will be able to book reservations. There will still be many, many people trying to access the site and we thank you for your continued patience with this process. We look forward to having you at our campgrounds soon!

Unfortunately, the issues with the online reservation site cannot be easily resolved and the platform provider has had to take down the site in order to correct the problems. We know how frustrating this is - we are frustrated too. Please know that we are working as quickly as possible to fix the bugs and make the site available. We are continuing to receive a high volume of calls on our phone lines and though we are working through them as quickly as possible, we encourage you to wait for the online system to re-launch to make your reservations. We are excited to announce that the online reservation system for all three Don Pedro campgrounds will open at noon on Thursday, June 18. Reservations can be made for dates beginning July 1. The Blue Oaks Group Camping Site, Fleming Meadows Amphitheater, and Fleming Meadows Group Picnic Area are not available for use at this time. The Swimming Lagoon re...mains closed and will likely not be open for the July 4th holiday weekend. Please be patient with us as we are working extremely hard to make the proper facility modifications to comply with county guidelines. The 4th of July Fireworks show has been postponed and a new date not yet selected. We are excited to announce, based on DPRA’s progress in meeting the guidelines provided last week by the State, that the DPRA Board of Control gave direction to staff to prepare for a July 1 opening of the Don Pedro campgrounds and campground facilities. This is a big step in the direction of welcoming you all back to Don Pedro and we look forward to providing additional updates as they are available, including information on reservations. The Swimming Lagoon remains closed at this time. Please be patient with us as we are working extremely hard to make the proper facility modifications to comply with opening. Many of you are wondering when we will open the campgrounds at Don Pedro Lake and we want to update you on our progress. We do not yet have a date for opening the campgrounds. The safety of our guests is our number one priority. We are working as quickly as possible to implement the list of guidelines from the State that must be in place in order to open campgrounds to the public, including physical renovations to the property, screening processes for guests and hiring additi...onal staff to support the guidelines. Once our facilities are ready and staff have been trained in the new protocols, we can determine a date to safely open. We understand that many of you have existing reservations or are trying to make plans and arrangements for the Fourth of July and beyond. We will continue to post new information as it comes in. The 2020 Don Pedro fireworks show has been postponed due to continuing restrictions against large group gatherings. We expect a big turnout at the lake and to help get you into the water faster, we will be opening additional CASH-ONLY entry lanes. All Day Use passes are only $10 each. Passes are required for each vehicle, boat and personal watercraft. Payment can also be made by credit card, but cash is recommended for quicker entry and to minimize contact. We also want to remind you that social distancing restrictions are still in place at day-use areas, including at boat ramps, parking lots, and along shorelines.
