I recently went over to @domenicosbelmontshore for dinner. I had their pizza on a gondola ride about a week ago and decided I wanted to check out what else they had to offerplus they're the oldest restaurant in Long Beach and I haven't been back since I was a younginso I had to go. I got their sausa...ge tomato cream rigatoni, giant meatballs, and minestrone soup, and finished off with dessert which included blackout chocolate cake à la mode and tiramisu. Firstly, the sausage tomato cream rigatoni was fabulous and came with quite a large portion. The pasta tubes were perfectly cooked and the sausage was really soft and herbaceous. The sauce was a rich tomato situation and was thick enough to properly coat everything. Next, are the giant meatballs that live up to their name. Almost the size of baseballs, they were moist and tender all the way through. After that, was the minestrone which was a clean tomato soup with pasta, beans, and veg in it. It was a nice way to start the meal though the word is that the tomato bisque is the way to go if you get complimentary soup. Lastly, are the desserts. The blackout chocolate cake was dense, almost like a moist brownie, and served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The tiramisu, on the other hand, was light and balanced between the creaminess of the mascarpone and the slight bitterness of the espresso. Both were really enjoyable.
