I know we don't like to think about older adults having sex. Note: I am not saying 50 is old, so don't send me hate mail... lol. I am simply saying, sometimes we think the older someone is the less they have to worry about things like STD's. Its not true! Please share this with your friends and parents. You may save a life. "In 2013, 21% of new diagnoses of HIV and 27% of new AIDS cases occurred in people aged 50 or older. More than a third (37%) of deaths related to AIDS in the U.S. now occur among people aged 55 or older."

Gastrochisis, a birth defect where babies are born with their internal organs protruding through a hole in the abdomen has been increasing in all races and age groups since 1995. However, in African Americans women under age 21, there has been a staggering 263% increase in gastrochisis.

Too many times as an ER doc, I have seen women present to the emergency department hours and even days after a heart attack. I have heard too many stories of the women who took a Motrin and a nap for her back, arm or neck pain only to never wake up. Below is a list of heart attack symptoms commonly seen in women. PLEASE read it. PLEASE share it. You may save a life.

I realize it is unlikely that droves of people will get this surgery since it is unavailable in the U.S. However, I still want the public to know that it is a dangerous procedure. Iris transplant is an unnecessary risk to your ability to see. http://www.geteyesmart.org//iris-implants-risk-eye-damage-

I am so sad to see this. Spending more money on medical care does not make our society healthier. We need to find a way to make our system more accessible and efficient.
