Excessive moisture and sweat without a proper regimen can wreak havoc on our skin. Hello My Beautiful Clients! So here we are again. Some businesses open and some closed but all are trying to adapt to this temporary situation. How are you holding up? Life has been interesting in the Rodriguez household. My hubby is getting back to teaching virtually at National City Middle School, while also finishing the development of his very own online guitar program. If you need something to lift your mood, you can check him out on Instagram at @cruzrodriguez_musi...c and @etude7guitaracademy. The kids are still a bit crazy. Bedtimes are pretty much non-existent at this point, so that's been fun. We have, however, found the beach to be a great place for them to release their energy and calm them down. There is something amazing about water and it's ability to soothe the soul. As for me, I'm trying to focus a bit more on self-care in order to stay sane for my family. Many have expressed their concerns about my business and I appreciate all the wonderful thoughts and prayers that have been sent my way. Though I am not able to open and take clients at this time; I am happy to report I am consistently shipping and restocking products, as well as helping clients with skin concerns through virtual facials and consultations. We're Back... but we’ve made some changes due to COVID-19 Dear Beauty Room SD Community,... I'm so excited to say that, after 3 months, The Beauty Room SD will finally be re-opening it's doors next week! In keeping with state and county guidelines, we have had to implement the following changes in order to keep everyone safe. ~ Wear a Mask - Face masks must be worn by both the client and esthetician at all times, unless a service requires access to the mouth and chin area (i.e. facial, lip/chin waxing) ~ No Guests - Due to social distancing, we cannot allow anyone else to accompany you to your appointment. We will no longer have access to a waiting room area ~ Waiting in your Car - Please text (619) 964-3444 to let us know you have arrived for your appointment and we will let you know as soon as we are ready for you to come in ~ Temperature Checks - We will check your temperature upon entering the building. An elevated temperature will require us to reschedule the appointment. (We kindly ask that anyone who has had a fever, illness, seasonal allergies or has come in contact with anyone who has been exposed, please reschedule your appointment) ~ Hands - Clients must wash their hands or use the provided hand sanitizer upon entering treatment room. We will be sanitizing all doors and handles, faucets and counters prior to each client's arrival. Additionally, we will perform all services with gloved hands, face mask and face shield. We will temporarily have reduced working hours: Monday 5pm - 8pm Thursday 9am - 12pm Saturday 9am - 2pm *Please let us know if there is a scheduling conflict and we will do our best to try and accommodate Thank you so much for all the support and patience during this challenging time. I was living in Compton while the L.A. riots happened. It was surreal. Of course, I didn’t understand what was happening, I just knew a man had been beaten by police...Rodney King. It wasn’t okay. I saw how people took to the streets in anger and rightfully so. Now this has happened again but I’m a much worse way! I’m saddened that it has taken all this chaos for people to wake up and realize something is wrong and it has always been wrong. I can’t imagine what it must feel... like for a whole race to deal with this every day. I’m so sorry. I know it’s not okay to say I don’t see color because that makes it seem that we are all the same and sadly, we are not. But... We see you. And we are trying to understand.
