THE TRAIN: At birth we boarded the train and met our parents, and we believe they will always travel by our side. As time goes by, other people will board the t...rain; and they will be significant i.e. our siblings, friends, children, and even the love of your life. However, at some station our parents will step down from the train, leaving us on this journey alone. Others will step down over time and leave a permanent vacuum. Some, however, will go so unnoticed that we don't realize they vacated their seats. This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells. Success consists of having a good relationship with all passengers requiring that we give the best of ourselves. The mystery to everyone is: We do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. So, we must live in the best way, love, forgive, and offer the best of who we are. It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life. I wish you all a joyful journey ~

FROM: TRANQUILLITY TEA ROOM, Thousand Oaks. In the face of the unknown we feel fear. This is understandable; we have never faced this type of threat before. I have personally been struggling with the possibility of letting go of 20 years of hard work, but in the face of uncertainty I still know that God is in control. ... So I'm giving the future to Him and thanking Him for the blessings I have right before me today, they are many and varied. We have food. We have shelter. I have beloved people around me and incredible support from all of them. We have people working in many professions night and day to protect us, and we're thankful for all of them. A very wise woman that I admire has said, "The feels are real, but they're not the boss of me." I love that. So I am relearning a lesson I thought I had learned 20 years ago: not to stuff my feelings down but rather to recognize them and work through the source of them so they won't control me in a negative way. If you're feeling stressed and are eating too much, drinking too much, hiding from things, I recommend journaling, praying, talking things out aloud, singing, calling a friend. I believe we will come through this as a nation and as a globe much cleaner and stronger. Take advantage of the time today. We hope to be open for Mothers' Day and would love to see you then. In the meantime if you would like to support us we are offering the following through the month of April: Tea 2 Go for One: Scone with jam and cream, 5 tea sandwiches (chicken, tuna, egg, cheddar and cucumber), 3 dainty desserts (cream puff, lemon bar, truffle) 1 cup of hot tea (optional) $16 Child's Tea 2 Go: Chocolate chip scone with jam and cream, 4 plain turkey or cheese tea sandwiches, mini cupcake, 1 cup of lemonade or tea $13 Scones: Blueberry Lemon, Cranberry Orange, Chocolate Chip $36 per dozen Lemon Curd 1/2 cup $5 Tranquility Cream 1/2 cup $5 Pre-arranged pick-up or delivery between 10-5 every day. Email or give us a call at least a day in advance. God bless each and every one of you and thank you so much for your continued support. Candra Coogan Tranquility Tea Room 805-418-9939 2527 E.
