Just love the month of Feb.....more holidays to celebrate, especially Ground Hog's Day! Hailing from the East coast, everyone looked forward to Feb.2 to see if the ground hog would see his shadow or not. So far in this very COLD month of January dry skin is the number ONE complaint of my clients, especially on arms and legs. Number one recommendation....bathe or shower in warm water. I know how good hot water feels, but it drys our skin. After you bathe, pat skin with a soft towel, not totally dry and use a moisturizer like Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. Do not use the lotion, but the cream. You will see immediate improvement in the texture of the skin on your arms and legs. My arms were so dry and itchy and now the irritation and itchiness is gone!!!

Went in for my yearly skin cancer check up. I had a small lesion on my nose called an actinic keratosis. It was small and a little rough and needed to go! These lesions are usually from sun exposure that we get earlier in life. Some may become squamous cells over time. I decided to have the Dermatologist freeze it off.....didn't want to take the chance of it becoming a cancer. If you see me, I look a little like "RUDOLF" so I fit in with the season.... I am sharing this to encourage everyone to have a full body check up yearly. Make sure your Dermatologist checks your scalp as well. Not glamorous news, but important!!
