Children see magic because they look for it ... - Christopher Moore. This is one of my favorite reasons why I love photographing children. Their imagination knows no bounds. Most have a clean slate of the world’s stresses, and are free to see the world as colorful as they wish. . I am all work, no play kind of girl. I often (especially as of lately) forget that life isn’t just about bills, rules, timelines, to-do lists, appointments, restrictions, alarm clocks, diets, etc.... I need to remember that life should also be lived by doing things that bring a smile to your face, to live colorfully, and to do so with those closest to you. Things as simple as snuggling in for a good read, impromptu dance parties, dog pile tickle-fests, pillow forts, star gazing at night, bubble baths, couch movie nights, etc. Remembering that life shouldn’t just about ‘adulting’, but should also be lived by finding that magic that makes our world. My children remind me of this everyday, and for them, I am very grateful. . My son wears his heart on his sleeve. He has the kindest soul I have ever met. His love knows no bounds, and he is forever and always thinking of others .... human and animal alike. When you’re pregnant, especially with your first, I feel like everyone on the planet wants give you advice solicited or not lol ... Even strangers! I found it so odd! Well ... my children are now 5 and 7... I am obviously still learning the ways of raising children, the sass, the attitude ... you know the regular stuff lol... but if I were to give one ...solid piece of advise for those just starting out ... it would be this quote. Even now, it’s so hard to remember those days when my daughter was itty bitty tiny round face, or my son with rolls for days lol. That’s where pictures and video come in handy ... I get so sentimental when I see those darn memories. I don’t remember the soreness from birth, or the lack of sleep, etc etc .... I remember their soft baby skin, their sweet little giggles ... their wonderous curious eyes ... Alright .. off the memory train here. .
