Today officially starts my 24th year of teaching dance in Los Angeles! ? I couldn’t be more thankful for every year, every student, every friend, every teacher, everyone’s Mom & Dad, that has been in this journey with me! TODAYS Tuesday teacher of the week!!!! @__tessmarie__ Who’s been on faculty since 2009!!!! Tess Hewlett, originally from Midway, Utah is a performer, educator, and choreographer based in Los Angeles. Over the 12 years of her professional career she has shared her talents with both concert and commercial dance. Tess has taught and performed all over the world with LA Contemporary Dance Company, Entity Contemporary Dance, Heidi Duckler Dance, and LOBOS art collective. A fe...w of her commercial credits as a performer include Dua Lipa, Katy Perry, Jay-Z, The Voice, Transparent, The OA, Apple, and as a movement director for the new HBO show Perry Mason. In the summer of 2019 she produced and co-choreographed her first evening length, site-specific piece SURPRISE which premiered in Los Angeles to a sold out audience. Like many artists, Tess is currently working on finding new and exciting ways to continue to bring dance into peoples lives in this ever changing, new normal. See more
