To our valued patients: This morning we sent out an email reviewing all of the precautions we are taking to help keep you, our patients, and ourselves safe from COVID-19. My team and I have been monitoring the latest recommendations and evidence. We have decided that Better safe than sorry! applies. Our governments, Federal, State and Local and the California Dental Association have requested that dental offices close for two weeks to help contain the virus. Therefore, we ...will be closing at 5:00 PM this afternoon, Monday March 16 until 8:00 AM Monday March 30. We will be contacting patients with existing appointments to reschedule them. Hopefully our State and Country will have passed the tipping point by March 30 and we can resume our normal lives. However, all of the increased disinfection protocols that we have added above and beyond our usual medical grade infection control will remain in place for the foreseeable future. We appreciate our patients grace and understanding as we face these new health challenges together. We will continue to offer emergency services during the shutdown. Sincerely. David B. All of us at Advanced Dental Concepts have been empathetically watching the events as they have evolved over the past month in regard to the Coronavirus. Standard universal precautions help protect every patient and team member from the many infectious diseases that we are potentially exposed to on a daily basis. We will be operating with business as usual. We are proud of the many institutions that have instilled different cleaning protocols to help prevent the spread of inf...ection, but every health care facility is held to a totally different standard. After every patient interaction, every counter top, chair, etc. is wiped down with a powerful medical grade disinfectant, and every instrument is sterilized under severe heat and pressure. This occurs EVERY time you sit in the patient chair. That said, we will be raising the standard beyond our typical protocol during this time period. We will be utilizing a higher standard of care in our non-clinical areas/interactions as well. We will be removing all magazines and turning the coffee machine off. This is also occurring during the unfortunate time with allergies now picking up. Therefore, will be taking temperatures on all patients as they enter and anyone with a temp over 99.9 will be rescheduled at least 3 weeks later. In an office where our culture revolves around handshakes and hugs, we will be adhering to a strict at most ‘elbow bump’ protocol. We are also asking if you have a cough, fever or chills, please call and reschedule your appointment. Instituting these higher standards will help aid in the health and safety for you and our entire team. As always, we are honored to be a health care partner with each of you, and care about each of you. We hope that this helps clarify how your interaction will be with our team.
