The Town of Danville and the City of San Ramon are joining with A Brighter Day Charity to put on this Teen Talent Showcase. A Brighter Day is a nonprofit organization that helps teens and young adults manage stress and depression through mental health awareness a...nd education. WELCOME TO NEW COMMISSION/COMMITTEE MEMBERS: At their meeting this past Tuesday (Jan 12, 2021) the Danville Town Council approved the appointment/reappointment of several community members to the various committees and commissions in Danville. Council received several applications for the open positions, held interviews, and then approved the new members Tuesday. These include: Steven Freshman and David Grant - Senior Advisory Commission... Jenna Mesic and Adam Falcon - Parks, Recreation, and Arts Commission Kathryn Benevenuto and Lee Halverson - Heritage Resource Commission Mark Graham, Mary Grace Houlihan, Lou Palandrani and Paul Radich - Planning Commission Robert Ficken - alternate member to Planning Commission Afshan Hamid - Design Review Board Jim Donnelly - Danville Rep to Contra Costa County Advisory Council on Aging Randall Diamond - Danville Rep to Contra Costa Mosquito and Vector Control District Board of Trustees Nicole Gemmer - Danville Rep on Contra Costa County Library Commission We appreciate the efforts and great volunteer spirit of these new and returning commissioners and thank everyone who applied for these open positions. The Town of Danville periodically has openings for committees and commissions, so there will be more opportunities to come for those wishing to take part in public service.
