Happy Halloweenie from Aero in Oregon now :) He was a regular at Dachshund Sunday In The Park until his family moved away. He still has many family members that attend our gatherings regularly like his Mama Kiera, littermate sisters Cadence and Gladdy, and a variety of aunties, uncles, and cousins plus nieces and nephews and his G'ma Ella. How much FUN our little gatherings are, especially when they become family reunions of sorts ;)

We should be doing July's Dachshund Sunday In The Park, if all goes well and social gatherings will being allowed by then. We kept trying to make it happen and then kept remembering that, if this was an animal virus, there is no way we would meet just yet. We are looking forward to being able to do our gathering in July :) Hope that you all can make it then!!

Just a little something that has been going on behind the scenes during social distancing in our little group... "Good Morning, Folks!! Many of you knew this was in the works...some of you did not. Well, it is finally here and you need to take a look!! This little gem came out of hours and hours of living all eleven of these tips for years and years, realistically, a lifetime in fact. I was lucky enough to be on the sidelines and behind the scenes for so much of this, a sound...ing board for even more, and remember very clearly when all of this came together in our living room. Something along the lines of, "Hey, Honey... I think I just wrote a book!!" and the rest is history. It still makes me laugh, shake my head, and make a variety of faces, but I also think this is an incredibly important, pocket-sized primer for not just young musicians starting out, but for those looking to get to that next level on stage and in front of people. I was lucky enough to get to know some fabulous musicians while they were relentlessly gigging and they have been kind enough to let me get a glimpse of their world and share their perspectives, both from the stage and behind the scenes. Many are still family to this day and, while I don't miss all the time away from here and crazy late nights, I do miss so many of the people involved that we don't see any more. Who knew that my getting hurt would open up such amazing experiences for me since I was always hard to pry away from this place? I can't help but think of how much more enjoyable some of those gigs could have been if the folks on the stage could have had this information at their fingertips. LOL!! (For you more sensitive frontman and drummer types, no... I didn't mean you and, trust me, I was nearly ALWAYS entertained!!) Please Share this link on your pages (presales are live now and the book drops on Kindle the 25th with paperbacks soon to follow :) ), on whatever social media you may have, even in emails if you are so inclined. It will be sooner than you think when we can have gatherings once again so we may as well get ALL of the musicians we know on board with a smoother way to be a band, one little black book at a time. Thanks for at least helping get word out there and be sure to keep an eye out for more wonderful things to come!! Also a HUGE THANKS for everyone who works so hard to keep the music coming and for keeping us entertained!!" ~L

For those of you looking to fill your freezers and help some kids out... This is just the beginning of the fair animals that kids are selling due to canceled fairs. If you can, bid on a beast here. If you can't, consider supporting your local kids, farmers, CSAs, and farmer's markets whenever possible We will all get through this if we all work together!! ~L

Happy National Pet Day Enjoy this little glimpse of puppydom since we won't get to do our Gathering of Tiny Hounds tomorrow. We will miss everyone, but here is to EVERYONE'S good health until we can get our Weiners together and enjoy them once again Happy Easter Ever, too...

This is a simple visual to understand why we need to stay home and away from other people we don't live with already. Thanks for doing your part!!

I posted on my page a couple of days ago. If you can help, please do... If you prefer, there may be local need as well so call or do a search. "HEY GUYS!!! Call out to those who can sew (or have the time and want to learn maybe?). There is a need for home-sewn masks for healthcare workers in our friend's area of Washington State where she knows far too many folks directly affected by Covid-19. While these heroes of our healthcare system work seemingly endless and quite scary ...hours, they themselves are not protected. If you can help by sewing masks and/or donating materials, postage, or help with delivery, please contact Laura Pearson, the Original Poster, or me and I can pass along whatever info you need. The pattern is in the link in the comments. Ties are okay (TIES ARE REQUESTED BY MORE THAN ONE OF OUR MED FRIENDS FOR COMFORT PLEASE!!) and they hold up during heavy-duty washing better than elastic (which we hear can be hard to find now). KEEP IN MIND, there is IMMEDIATE AND URGENT NEED up north right now. There may also be a need in your area as well. Contact friends and family in the medical field and maybe even your local hospital, clinic, or whomever you think might be in need and ask if you prefer helping that way. We are all in this together and this is one way that we can continue social distancing/self-isolation and combat boredom while doing something incredibly important to help out." See more
