We're a week away from a major closure that could impact how you get to UC Davis Health. Caltrans is scheduled to close northbound and southbound state Route 99 from 47th Avenue to the U.S. Highway 50 connector, from 8 p.m., Friday, June 11 until 4 a.m., Wednesday, June 16. Take a look at the specific on ramp and off ramp closures and how they could impact your travel to the hospital.

Great news in the fight to help cancer patients seek treatment for their tobacco use. The UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center's Stop Tobacco Program (SToP) reports that enrollment has gone up six-fold since it was established in 2018 and they have now helped more than 1,000 patients. Congrats to the SToP team, led by Internal Medicine's own Dr. Elisa Tong! #womeninscience

Congratulations are in order to Dr. Jacqueline Stocking. She's just been named as a member to the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)'s Internal Medicine specialty board. Jackie's term starts in July and will run until 2024. In this new role, she will help set policies and standards for all internist and subspecialists. Another Internal Medicine family member, Dr. Susan Murin is currently on the ABIM Pulmonary Specialty Board. Congrats Jackie!
