Pick up an obleas kit and warm pandebono from Bocadito at today’s market! Bocadito ("small bite") is a self-dubbed snackeria, ready to introduce freshly handcrafted fast Colombian snacks to the Bay Area. Ricardo and Liliana's signature offerings are obleas, made of two crisp round thin wafers filled with dulce de leche, and pandebonos, or traditional cheesy rolls. Find them in the front plaza today.

Take it from the Socially Distant Squid: stand 6 feet apart! Or 6 tentacles, as the case may be. All squidding aside, thank you to our rockstar volunteer Ian McFaul for bringing lots of masked smiles to the farmers market this Halloween, while demonstrating safe shopping for cephalopods and people alike. Have a happy and safe Halloween, everyone!

Just 1 week left to vote! Take it from our farmers: "It's important to vote because your voice matters in this election," says Juan-Carlos Gonzales of Green Thumb Organics Farms, with Rudy Jimenez at today's farmers market. "It's important that all communities have equitable resources. Brown and Black communities all need their voices to be heard. Your voice counts." Get your mail-in ballot in ASAP, or make a plan to vote in person before or on Nov. 3. Visit vote.org for your polling site and resources.

Get out the food vote! Here are some tips from community leaders Nina Ichikawa of Berkeley Food Institute and Reem Assil of Reem's California to stay civically engaged for a just and equitable food system this election season and beyond. "When I’ve organized, I’ve always cared a lot that we maintain relationships, stay in good communication, and feed each other," says Nina. "The community bonds and accountability should end up stronger, whether or not you win short-term."
