Please help me make this November a special one. On November 10th, 2001 my nephew, Aaron Alvarez, was born in Victorville, California. Within minutes he was airlifted to Loma Linda Medical Center with congenital heart failure. For the next 2 months he would wait for a heart. Unable to commute from home to the hospital or afford a hotel every night the Ronald McDonald House Inland Empire housed my brother, his wife, and children. His family was able to be at the hospital e...very hour of everyday so Aaron would not be alone. In January 2002 Aaron was given his angel wings. Thanks to the Ronald Mc Donald House Inland Empire I really knew what a blessing the house was for a family needing a home away from home just steps away from the hospital. During this time of year I normally make a donation in his memory to pay for a family’s night stay. I decided this year I would shoot for the stars and do a Gold Canyon Fundraiser to maybe raise enough funds for the cost of a family’s two month stay. For an added bonus, if this post reaches the highest number likes and 100+ candles sold, Gold Canyon will pledge $1000 towards the memory of Aaron to help other families who need to be close to their child’s hospital bed.
