Loma Linda University Health have been hard at work to set up COVID vaccination opportunities for our community in the county of San Bernardino. However, in order for this to be accomplished, there is a critical need for volunteers. There are two different kinds of volunteers are needed: 1. Community Clinical Volunteers (need a license to be able to give shots). These volunteers will need two things for clearance (background check and confirmation of valid clinical license)... but do not need to wait for clearance due to the length of time. To avoid a 23 week delay, a volunteer can begin volunteering immediately if they sign an affidavit confirming they have a clear background and a valid license. 2. Community Logistics Volunteers: Anyone of the ages 18 and above can volunteer. Volunteers will be given the opportunity to get shots as public health field workers. Logistics volunteers will be required to complete the background check and sign the affidavit. LLUH is planning on covering the cost of volunteers, so cost is not a barrier to volunteering. We do ask volunteers to sign up for as many days as possible, even if it’s once per week. This will improve operations significantly. If you are an LLUH employee or an LLU student, choose your category from the following tabs on the website: a. Student logistics volunteer b. Student volunteer vaccinator c. LLUH Employee participation d. LLUH Employed clinicians If you fit into one of the LLUH/LLU categories, the only verification you will need will be your LLUH email. LLUH will also be recruiting internally from LLUH employees and students, so, if you are an employee or student, do not sign up twice.
