Welcome to the Journey! This morning we will be looking at growing in Gospel Fluency: being so immersed in the language of God that His Word becomes our word. Join us as we look at Deuteronomy 6 and Psalm 119.

Sunday Preview: Gospel Fluency. As we continue our series, ALL IN, we will consider what it means to be fluent in the gospel, God's Word. That's so much more than memorizing or even studying the Bible; Gospel Fluency means that God's Word is our heart languageit's the language of our thoughts, feelings, words, and actions.

A Call to Prayer for Our Nation. Please join me over the next ten days in praying for our nation. Seldom in our history have we seen the division that exists today ... and it is overflowing into the Church of Jesus Christ. We do not need to agree politically, but we are called to unity as followers of Jesus Christ, and that unity begins in prayer. Let your prayer start from 9-10am Friday either in person at The Journey Church or via Zoom (https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88906750824...). Then join us at 10:30am Sundayin person or here on Facebookas we include a time of corporate prayer during our service. We'll post additional prayer opportunities and encouragement throughout the week.

Who am I? It's the question we all wrestle with. You can find your identity in work, achievements, relationships; in what parents or others say about you; or you can find your identity in Jesus Christ as a loved child of God.

In light of last week's theft of some of our equipment, our Sunday live stream may look a little different than it has over the past few monthsbut we still plan to go live online right here at 10:30am! We appreciate your understanding.

We are grateful for a local attorney who has offered a reward for the return of the historical documents stolen from the church on Sunday nightand for another donor whose gift to the church allows us to match that reward. Please pray for these documents to be returned. God will hear and, I believe, will answer those prayers. Several years I led a mission team to Rosarito, Mexico. The night before we were to return home, our vehicle was broken into and, among other things, fi...ve passports were stolen. We prayed. We filed police reports. We contacted our church in Placerville to obtain copies of the passports. At 7:00 the next morning we received word that the passports had been found in Tijuanaby a retired American living there who had been out to dinner with his wife and saw a strange pouch in front of his car when they parked. The whole experience was testimony to what God will do when we pray. May he do the same today. See more
