Bob will share information on various aspects of the School, including an update on reopening plans; an overview of the School’s budget and finances; diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives; and key strategic plan goals (including the new performing arts center!). Back by overwhelming demand, Crossroads School’s virtual 2021 Parent Association Spring Event will be a brand-new Crossroads Night Live! It's tonight! Don’t miss your chance to view the documentary Fire on the Hill: The Cowboys of South Central LA, presented in honor of Black History Month. The free online event, available 4-10 p.m. PST, will include a conversation between the Equity & Justice Institute’s Founding Director Derric J. Johnson, filmmaker Brett Fallentine, featured subject Ghuan Featherstone andjust announcedexecutive producer and Crossroads alumnus Baron Davis ’97. Register now at tinyurl.com.../xrdsfoth. Fire on the Hill explores the historied but waning culture of cowboys in an area largely synonymous with gang violence, drug trafficking and crime. Following three of the South Central and Compton Cowboys, the film tells the story of a horse stable known as the Hill that was mysteriously set on fire in 2012 and the cowboys’ fight to live out their vision of the West.
