Good morning Crosspoint family! We hope you are able to join us for our new 3-part sermon series "God's Prescription for Fulfilling Love" which starts tomorrow. This will be a great series to invite friends and family to, especially those who don’t normally attend church. See you either in person or online at 9:49am! (For more information about in-person service, visit this link: https://www.crosspointsr.org/blog)

As you may have heard by now, the Supreme Court has ruled in favor of churches being able to meet indoors. We are excited that we are able to regather in person, as we have been longing to do! We also recognize that, although this is a step that will be beneficial for some, it is not yet for everyone and we are still far away from being back to church as normal. The Supreme Court ruling allows for indoor services, but only at 25% capacity and without singing. With that ...in mind, I want to paint a picture of what to expect on Sundays at Crosspoint. For those who are interested in attending church in person, we will begin hosting live attendance at the church, in the sanctuary, starting . All along, we have said that churches can do this safely more safely than any other sector of society, because we are not motivated by profit or prestige but by love and care for our community. We want to exhibit that in how we act, as we re-open. As with all indoor spaces in California, masks will need to be worn for the entire time you’re inside the church building. We will not have a live band; the worship time will be pre-recorded and played on the screen. We will be able to offer Children’s Church for the children who attend (safely distanced and wearing masks), so families are welcome to bring their kids along! Seating will be in family units, safely distanced from other families. And, as always, if you are not feeling well, worship with us online and not in person. We will continue to do the same high quality broadcast of the service each Sunday, so you can continue to join us online, and all of the members of our church family who are sick or vulnerable should continue to join our broadcast that way, as you have been. Again, we’re excited to be able to be together, but we also recognize the importance of caring for the safety of those in attendance. Whether you join us on the church campus or continue to join our online broadcast, either on the website or on Facebook live, we truly are one church family. A special reminder for this Sunday: we will be beginning a 3-part series on God’s prescription for fulfilling love, a great series to invite friends and family to, who don’t normally attend church. Be praying about who you can call, email, or text to inviteand then on Sunday, whether you’re in person with us or watching from home, share the service! Don’t attend church alone. And one last thing: if you’ll be joining us in person Sunday morning, plan to arrive by 9:40 so you can make it to your seat, get settled, and hear a couple instructions before the service and broadcast start at 9:49am. Whether it’s in person or online, I’m excited to worship together with you this Sunday morning! ~ Pastor Mike

Hello Crosspoint Family! I cannot express to you just how excited I am for us to FINALLY be able to gather together Thursday evening for our outdoor service. It feels like foreverbecause it has been a couple months since we were all able to gather without threat of fire or heavy smoke! The weather forecast for Thursday looks perfect, and we will have a meaningful time of worship and prayer that is so desperately needed during this time. I want to strongly encourage you, if y...our health allows, to make every effort to join together with the rest of the family on Thursday night. We will start promptly at 6pm, so arrive before 6 with your chair and dinner if you want to eat during our time together. You won’t want to miss this precious time with our church family! I also wanted to address the new directive from Governor Newsom that came out last week regarding private gatherings. When this came out, there was much confusion about how it affected church small group gatherings and how to both honor our authorities and also continue to gather as God has directed us. The good news is this: the rules for private gatherings apply to gatherings that are not already addressed in other sector guidance. Churches are covered by their own sector guidance, which allows outdoor gatherings like our outdoor service Thursday evenings and other gatherings of the church. Home groups are a vital part of our church community, made even more vital by our inability to gather weekly as a whole church, and are thus covered by the rules for church gatherings not the private gatherings rules. This means that home groups can continue legally as they have been, so check with your home group leader on how you’ll be gathering next! We need each other! God has designed us to not go through life alone, and He has brought us together. I can’t wait to be with you tomorrow evening at our outdoor service and to be able to keep gathering regularly in our home groups for much needed encouragement, fellowship, accountability, and care. See you tomorrow night! Here at Crosspoint we believe in the importance of our Home Groups. The purpose and emphasis of these groups is to connect with and serve one another, to love each other, and to grow in our love for the Lord together. We would love for you to join one of our Home Groups! If you are interested in joining a Home Group, visit the Home Groups page our website to find out more and to sign up. https://www.crosspointsr.org/homegroups --Pastor Mike
