It has been kind of a while since I have taken in a new reptile. Now I am not complaining at all, but it seems, in San Diego anyway, that the pandemic has helpe...d people to have the time to not give up their pets as soon as they become time consuming. Today I broke the cycle and have taken in a very sweet Blue Tongue Skink. She just came in this morning and we are spending some bonding and getting to know you time. Everyone meet Blue See more

Today was the first day of working on plants. Found a great deal on a bunch of basil and rosemary plants. 99 cents each on clearance at the 99 cent store, I bou...ght them all. I filled a bunch of pots with fresh potting mix and made a bunch of combo pots. There are 2 plants, 1 each of basil and rosemary, in each pot. I figured I would get them done so they could have some nice fresh rain. See more

Ok everyone, I am starting up my gardens for this year and I have some asks for things that will help me. I need bales of old, unusable, hay or straw. I am going to start a Ruth Stout method garden, and the main ingredient is a lot of hay. It is fine if it has some mold or had got wet, it is only being used as a mulch and weed barrier. I also need one gallon plastic water bottles for a, self watering, hanging, herb and tomato garden. I could use long bamboo poles, potting soi...l, and maybe other garden related items. If you have any of these things, and they are taking up room or making a mess, and you would like to drop them off somewhere else, just message me and I will give you my address. Thank you all for reading and I will make posts about the gardens and what animals get to eat what I grow. I do love growing plants and the therapeutic calming that it gives me. See more

Donations have been almost non existent over the holidays. There are those who donate monthly, but there are not a lot of them and it honestly is not really eno...ugh to afford everything needed for all of the animals. So, here I am to beg for your generosity. If you have made it through the holidays, have not been hit by covid, and have made it through the elections, and have any money left, lol, that you would like to donate to the animals here, please feel free to use one of these methods to do so. We are running low on feed, medications, comfort supplies and so on. If you live in San Diego and have pet food or supplies, old towels or blankets, pond equipment you might want to donate, please let me know and I will tell you where you can drop them off. Thank you all for reading and I hope you are having a great start to your new year. https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/CREEPYCRAWLIESRESCUE... https://www.gofundme.com/f/qj7uv-rescuing-animals-in-need... Is this the norm? no. Do most homes have animals that are so different and yet get along? no. If animals can figure out how to get along, why the hell can the most intelligent creature on the planet not figure it out?

I am trying to help find a home for 2 African geese. I am going to take them in here, only because the owner said he will use them as food if they are not taken..., but I am not look for permanent geese pets. The male, like most male geese, is a little aggressive, but I feel anyone willing to take in geese, probably knows a little something about geese. They are beautiful birds and deserve to have a good home. See more

This is going out to my San Diego friends and supporters. I am looking for old stock ponds or stock tanks, 300 gallon and up. I am getting ready to start my new pond and need a place to keep the turtle while I am working on it. A rigid, above ground pool would also work, but no larger than a 10ft by 10 ft. I am also in the market for some plastic kids pools for the pigs and ducks, if anyone has some lying around. Thank you all for reading and have a great week.

Alright everyone. It is that time of year when I make my special begging request for pumpkins. If you have bought pumpkins for Halloween decor, and you have not... carved them, I would love for you to throw them in to my yard for the pigs, birds, dogs, iguanas and myself. Pumpkins are the main food source here in the winter time. At one point I was picking up a couple truckloads every year, but the pumpkin patch thing changed and that donation stopped. I now rely on the generosity of all of you for my big, orange, squash fix. So, if need a place for pumpkins to go, after Halloween, please let me know and I will give you an address for homeless pumpkin drop off. Thanks to all who have been pumpkin providers over the years. Have a great Halloween. See more

I, unfortunately, had to take in 2 muskovy ducks today. They have already been through a few owners, because they are very aggressive towards other ducks, birds..., and in the white ones case, my feet and hands. They are a far cry from the ducks I have taken in in the past. The darker one is a little better than the white one and is not always looking for the next fight, he only does it sometimes. I have helped these two find a home twice now, and both times it did not work out, because of their bullying of other birds. Today they ended up here by default. I am going to try and get them tamed down a little and then would like to find them homes. They have been together their entire lives, but I think that may be a big part of the problem. I am not against separating them, but if someone has an area and does not have other birds, they could go together. See more

Being as it has been pretty hot out lately, many of my lizards have been outside for the past couple months. Well fall is starting to creep up on us and I have ...been bringing lizards back in, as I get enclosures ready for them. Today I brought Squishy back in the house, after a fun fight of claws, tail whips, and many nopes. He finally gave in and let me bring him in. He is now doing a survey of the house, because everything has moved since the last time he was inside. You poor confused dinosaur. See more

This is Raisin the pig when I first got her. Of the 4 pigs I have here, she is the most fun and playful.
