Thus far, Creative Arts Theater has remained silent so as not to distract from the voices that need to be heard. We understand that some of our patrons may wonder where we as Creative Arts Theater stand on these issues and the values we uphold. Black Lives Matter, now and forever. There is no question that we as a country, as a people need to reform and re-educate. We believe that no one person is exempt from the need to reflect and look into their own biases, and that every...one can assist the cause in their way. We have, as individuals engaged in discussions, given opinions, read, watched, learned and continue to learn. We strive to be a company that welcomes diversity and fresh ideas. With that in mind we also recognize that we are far from perfect and should always strive to do better. Knowing this, we are looking at our company’s guidelines and standards to actively curb any potential for racial bias in our entire production process. To our BIPOC friends, family, and patrons; We see you, we hear you, we are learning from you. Stay strong. You are not alone.

Hello friends and family, We hope you’re doing well during this time and staying healthy and safe. We wanted to let you know what our plan is for the rest of 2020: We have come to the conclusion that we will be moving Matilda, which was originally supposed to open last night, to July (pending any further guidelines) which means that our production of Mamma Mia is now being postponed until 2021. We wanted to be able to give the wonderful cast who’ve already worked so hard on... creating Matilda the ability to perform it! We understand that this may cause some confusion with tickets, so we will honor all previously purchased Matilda April performance tickets for their respective July dates. You’ll be getting an email in the next few weeks regarding the change. If you have tickets for Mamma Mia, we will be contacting you via email to get your tickets transferred to 2021. As for our October dates, we were originally scheduled to perform Fiddler on the Roof, however, due to national tour dates/locations, our rights were pulled from us. We’ve brainstormed on a show and we decided that we will be performing Wedding Singer the musical, based off the Adam Sandler movie! The musical is packed with 80s style music, clothes, and the Flock of Seagulls hair! Please contact us with any questions or concerns you may have at [email protected] Thank you again, we love and miss you! Stay Safe and Stay Healthy
