Cottontail Preschool 03.02.2021

April 2,2020 Dear Cottontail Parents, I would like to thank all of the Cottontail families for the overwhelming messages that we have received showing their support with our decision to temporarily close due to COVID-19. The heartfelt messages have been shared with all staff. We have enjoyed all the posts, pictures, and messages received from the children, and encourage them to continue.... Due to COVID-19 and the increase of cases, along with the extension of the stay home/social distancing order, Cottontail Preschool will remain closed for the month of April 2020. We realize that this may be a inconvenience for some, and apologize in advance. Although there have been no confirmed cases at Cottontail, we feel the decision to remain closed is in the best interest of the children, families, and staff, as safety is our number one concern. If everything goes as scheduled, Cottontail will reopen on May 1 2020. We will continue to update you as information becomes available. Please be safe and remember to do your part to help prevent the spread of this terrible virus. I am available anytime either by email [email protected] or on my cell at (619)565-3415. Please don’t hesitate to call or text with any questions or concerns. Thank you and stay safe, Denise and staff

Dear Cottontail Families, First I would like to say that the decision to temporarily close the preschool was extremely difficult. However, we felt we needed to do our part to help mitigate COVID-19. I am sure many of our preschool families were left with little notice to find alternate care for the next few weeks. Our decision was based on compiled information from the Center for Disease for Disease Control, California Health and Human Services, and our licensing oversight ag...ency, Community Care Licensing. At Cottontail safety is our number one concern, and we felt this was in the best interest of the children, their families, our staff and general public Secondly, I would like to thank each and everyone of you that showed their support of this decision. The words of encouragement, thanks, and prayers that were sent were very touching. This is the time for everyone to pull together and I know we can and will get through this. There is so much uncertainty for everyone. I have had several parents concerned that we will stay closed through this school year, as Gov. Newsome announced it was a possibility. To ease everyone, the answer is no. We still plan to reopen on April 6th as stated. During this time we are thoroughly cleaning everything at the school. Upon return we will continue to check all children and staff for fevers and general health. Expect strict adherence to our sick policy: a person with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher, vomiting or diarrhea must stay home until symptom free for 24 hours without medication. There will be continued education of proper hand washing and covering coughs. Please do your part in keeping your child home when they are ill to help flatten the curve of this virus. To ensure that all contact information is up to date, I am asking all parents to email me with a current cell phone number and email address. Please send the above information to: [email protected] Thank you all for your support, Denise and Staff

Hello Cottontail Preschool Parents, I have had many parents questioning the possible closure of our preschool due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19, and what we are doing on our part to prevent the possibility of spreading. Here is what I can tell you so far:... At this time we will remain open, however, we are in constant contact with State Licensing, receiving updates as they become available. I will continue to post any updates as they become available to us. We are taking this extremely serious. Ill children will not be allowed at school. If your child is ill, DO NOT SEND THEM TO SCHOOL, as we will not admit them. If your child has had fever, diarrhea, vomiting, cough, or anything else that is comunicable, please keep them home until they are well. Please do your part to prevent the spread of this virus. Please ensure that we have up to date phone numbers in the event we need to contact you. Thank you, Denise and staff.
