Meet Alison, one of our graduates from the class of 2019 - 2020. She landed a wonderful job in Hawaii on Maui...Congratulations, Alison!! These are pictures of her beautiful classroom :)) We're so proud of you!
Looking for a meaningful gift for that special child in your life? Give the gift of mindfulness! Children relate to The Cottage as the story unfolds and resolves when charming animal friends, including a Unicorn, guide the children through a process of gentle coping.
A good reminder...
"My 8 yr old just loved this book! He shared it with his class as his favorite book right now! The pictures are beautiful and his fav part is the blank page where he gets to draw his own cottage It’s an easy read for kids too!! Thanks miss Mary for an awesome kids book""
We're so thrilled to annoounce the release of our first published book!! It was a collaborative illustrated work with a 5 year old alumni, Ever. Ms. Mary takes the reader on a journey through The Cottage where the reader discovers a life-long skill of coping with disappoints such as missing your friends when you can't go to school. Please check it out, leave a review and share with friends and colleagues!
So very true for all of us teachers to keep in mind.
Our first book!!! Be sure to check it out here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1735803405/
Monday was Dr. Montessori's 150th birthday. She was an Anthropologist, a Suffragette, a Scientist, an International Educator, a Medical Doctor(the first woman admitted to the Univ of Rome Medical School). Maria lived through two World Wars, an international pandemic, was ousted from her homeland by Mousilini, continued her tireless work even after Hitler and the Nazis burned her schools and books, was exiled in India, nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize THREE times. She came t...o America in 1915 to participate in the Panama-Pacific Exhibition in San Francisco (Worlds Fair) where people from all around the world came to witness the "glass classroom "- filled with children working purposefully, independently. The only exhibit larger than hers was Henry Ford's. During her 82 years on this earth, Maria spoke eloquently, passionately and with unmatched conviction about children's rights, the hope they present and peace and social justice. Her speeches, books, methods are published worldwide. There are Montessori schools on every continent, except Antarctica. Of all she has left us in words, her beautiful materials, her idealogy...what resounds the most for me is this simple statement: "Of all things, the most potent is love." Happy Birthday, Maria. Thank you. See more
Language is so powerful...

Anne Frank attended Montessori school in Amsterdam from ages 3 - 11, then spent a year in Montessori High School until the occupied authorities no longer allowed Jews to attend the same school as Christians. This is a picture of her in 1936 in her Montessori classroom.
Lots of people are talking about lots of countries and continents far away. Join Mr. Mick as he teaches us the names of the 7 continents in a fun, original song! Let's sing and dance our way around this "Great Big Wonderful World"...here we go...
Great idea for Interns out there...video yourself practicing songs and storytelling and post on youtube or your fb page:) Helping others and yourself :)
