This book contains a log of flights performed by Theodore Spuds Ellyson and Glenn Curtiss, his flight instructor. Ellyson’s aviator number was A-1, indicating that he was the first ever naval aviator! Curtiss’s flight school on North Island was the beginning of aviation in the Navy.
